How should I store my cake, and how long will it stay fresh?
Storing your cake
Treat your cake like the VIP it is: keep it snug in the fridge, sealed inside its box or an airtight container to lock in moisture. When celebration time rolls around, let each slice relax at room temperature for 15–20 minutes—cold cake can be a bit shy until it warms up.
Keeping it fresh
Chilled cakes stay scrumptiously soft for about 2–3 days, but cream cakes shouldn’t lounge on the counter for more than an hour or two, especially on sunny days. Need extra time? Wrap leftover slices in plastic, add a foil jacket, and freeze for up to a month. Thaw overnight in the fridge and dig in—though, honestly, our cakes rarely sit still that long!
