What is your allergen policy? Are all your products egg-free and nut-free?
Allergen Policy Overview
Rashmi’s Bakery follows Canada’s priority‐allergen list: peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, milk, eggs, seafood (fish, crustaceans, shellfish), soy, wheat & triticale (gluten sources), mustard, and sulphites. Below is how each allergen is handled in our facility.
Eggs & Nuts
- Eggs: Absolutely none—no raw eggs, powders, or egg-derived ingredients on site.
- Peanuts / Tree Nuts: Zero peanuts or tree nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios, walnuts, etc.) in recipes, storage, or equipment.
Milk & Dairy Alternatives
Dairy is present in many standard cakes, creams, and chocolates. Vegan items use plant-based alternatives processed on separate, cleaned equipment to avoid cross-contact.
Soy
Used in select ingredients such as whipped topping cream and some chocolate coatings. Ask if you need soy-free recommendations.
Wheat, Triticale & Other Gluten Sources
Wheat flour is a core ingredient in our bakery, so gluten is present. We are not a gluten-free facility and cannot guarantee zero trace gluten.
Seafood, Fish, Crustaceans & Shellfish
None at all—our recipes, garnishes, and colourings are entirely seafood-free.
Sesame & Mustard
Neither is used in our core recipes. However, trace amounts may be present in supplier products like sprinkles or spice blends produced in facilities that handle sesame or mustard.
Sulphites
Occur in some colourings, glacé fruits, and decorative toppings. Levels are within Canadian regulatory limits, but let us know if you have a sulphite sensitivity.
